It takes multiple people operating dozens of sophisticated systems to safely manage the air traffic of an Air Force base. As a Ground Radar Systems specialist, you'll be in charge of the systems side of things. You'll work with fixed and mobile equipment that lets air traffic controllers and pilots take off and land safely. From air traffic control and weather equipment to ground control and warning radar, you'll know how to install and repair it all.
After eight-and-a-half weeks of Basic Military Training, every Airman goes to technical training to learn their career. Here's the basic information about Ground Radar Systems technical training:
